Our members are committed to providing an uplifting and inspirational experience to the church community through music & song.
Adult Choir
The adult choir provides music for the 9:00 a.m. Sunday mass and at other liturgies and rituals throughout the year. The choir also provides music for Contemplative Worship with takes place once per month. The choir draws music from a range of genres including sacred chant as well as traditional, contemporary and Caribbean style hymns, accompanied by guitar. Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 7:00-9:00pm at Church. New persons are always welcome to join our music ministry. Advanced knowledge of music is not required to join. The only criteria necessary for joining is that you: 1) Are willing to commit to regular rehearsals and scheduled masses. 2) Can sing in tune and on pitch. OR You can play an instrument (all instruments welcome). Contact: Michelle Sambrano (Adult Choir) Youth Choirs Music ministry can help children to grow in their faith and develop an appreciation for music in the liturgy. The Youth Choirs provide the music for the youth mass which takes place on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 9:00 a.m. The Young Adult Choir and the Children’s Choir alternate to provide music for the youth mass which takes place on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 9:00 a.m. Teen & Young Adult Choir: Youth between the ages of 13-20 who love to sing or can play an instrument are welcome to join Our Lady of the Rosary’s Teen and Young Adult Music Ministry. Children’s Choir: Children between the ages of 5 and 12 who love to sing are welcome to join Our Lady of the Rosary’s Youth Music Ministry. Contemplative Worship
Contemplative Worship is held every third Thursday of the month at Our Lady of the Rosary from 6:00 to 8:00pm. It is conducted by members of our adult choir and its aim is to create an environment and atmosphere for personal communing with God. The sessions provide a quiet space, combined with elements of reflection, music and prayer to help us to find our spiritual center and, at the same time, stimulate and kindle the fire of the Holy Spirit within each of us. So far, Contemplative Worship sessions have been held at the Cathedral, St. Dominic’s, St. Francis, Sacred Heart and the Living Water Community. Weddings & Funerals
The choir is also available to provide music and choral services for Roman Catholic weddings, and liturgical music for Roman Catholic funerals (at the church and at the graveside), in addition to other events.
