Reading Program

There are a variety of activities available for the youth in the parish and surrounding areas to be a part of, including the Reading Program caters for children ages 7 to 11 and works to promote reading in young children. The programme runs on Saturdays during the school year with breaks for Christmas, Easter and summer vacations. They are many committed volunteers who work with the youth hands on to increase their interest in books in order to build their love for reading and spark their imagination. During the school year along with the reading programme, there is a 11+ and Homework help programme which runs during the school year. The programme caters to twenty plus students weekly between the ages of 11 and 14 years old. This programme also breaks between the vacation periods of the school year.

Youth Program |
The Youth Programme takes place on Saturday afternoons after the Reading Programme and is attended by youth between the ages of 11 and 19. This programme arranges a variety of activities to promote spiritual and mental growth in the young people and is open to all young persons in the parish and surrounded areas who are interested in attending.

Camp of Colours
|
During the summer break, children between the ages of 7 and 12 are invited to attend the one-week summer camp hosted by the parish called the Camp of Colours, which runs for one week usually during the month of August. The camp has multiple activities including art and dance, and children are encouraged to utilize their creativity for internal growth.

Homework Help
|
On Wednesdays there is also a Reading and Homework project which caters for young people ages 12 to 14. This project assists as many as twenty to twenty- five students.
