“...I will build my church...” These words were spoken to Peter after he spoke up as aid to Jesus, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” These words, though spoken specifically to Peter, are also meant for all of us who proclaim Jesus as, “The Christ, the Son of the living God.” We, too, are told that we are blessed and that Jesus will build his church on us. If therefore the church is not growing, if the church is not growing in spirituality, it’s because we are not allowing our Father in heaven to reveal his Son to us and we are not proclaiming by our words and lives that he is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Jesus wants to build his church on us. Do we accept his invitation?
Yes?
Then let your lives say that Jesus is the Christ, Son of the Living God. Remember, he is building his church on us. If it’s a weak shaky church, it’s because we are weak and shaky. Let us ask our Father to so bless us that a strong church be built on us.
