Last weekend Friday 5th October to Sunday 7th October we celebrated our Patronal Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary with prayer, praise, harvesting of the time, talent and treasure of our parishioners, both present and past with gratitude. Many, if not all, who participated were pleased with the proceedings and many spoke highly of the spiritual renewal they experienced. Our Lady of the Rosary with the fruit of her womb, Jesus rose to the occasion and so we had picture perfect weather.
As I continue to reflect on the events and the sacrifices made by the organizers and our supporters, I am moved to thank God for the privilege of being the Parish Priest of such an endearing family. The weekend was truly a harvesting of the gifts that God has given to us, chief among them, His Mother and her Son.
Among the blessings we received were the launch of the Legion of Mary Presidium of Our Lady of the Rosary and the new musical Caribbean Rosary. The Legion was launched on the Saturday morning Mass and the Caribbean Rosary on the actual feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary, Sunday 7th October at the 9:00am thanksgiving Mass. The Caribbean Rosary, we are happy to say, is a production of some members of the Music Ministry of Our Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Yes, we too fulfilled Mary’s Magnificat: “All generations will call me blessed,” when we celebrated her feast, saying with Elizabeth, “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.“
A blessed thank you to all who made the graces and blessing flow.
Fr. Clement Paul.
Parish Priest.
