On Tuesday 1st September, we joined with all Catholics in observing the Season of Creation and Bible Month. We at Our Lady of the Rosary plan to observe the month through special prayers for creation and committing to potting plants or engaging in some activity that expresses our gratitude for creation.
Starting this Sunday, Season of Creation starter kits will be available which will provide you with a way to cultivate hope and gratitude for God's Creation. These kits will include seedlings, soil and pots and we are asking for a contribution of $10 which will go towards supporting our church. From the following Sunday, potted plants will also be available.
Bible Month will be observed each Sunday by introducing the liturgy of the Word with the hymn, Oh the Word of My Lord. We also ask our Parishioners to try to read a passage of the Bible on a weekday as a family.
On Sunday 6th September we will be praying specially for all our students returning to school and, in particular, for those who are travelling overseas. Please make an effort to attend and if there are students in your household or family, please encourage them to attend also. In fact, we ask for the names of all our students, both local and overseas, so that they will be remembered by name at least twice a month.
May God bless you.
