Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Three of our young people were presented to the Congregation as candidates for the Sacrament of Confirmation. They are: Riquelme Crichlow, Ryle Crichlow and Keana Howell. They will be confirmed on Sunday 4th October at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 6:00pm. Please pray for them.
Sunday 27th September, being the last Sunday in Bible Month., we had a display of T-Shirts that exhibited Bible verses. It was a very special moment for us all. Thanks and blessings to the Bible Team and all who displayed their T-Shirts.
This being the month of October we are into Mission Month. As members of the Catholic Family, remember that we are Baptized and Sent “to lead all people into unity, encounter and participation in Christ.” (From our synod 2014) There is a special collection for the missions this weekend.
This Sunday 4th October, we celebrate our Patronal Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. We begin at 8:00am with the choir singing the Glorious Mystery of the Caribbean Rosary followed by Mass. I hope and pray that Parishioners will come out and join in the celebration. You can find links to the Caribbean Rosary below.
We are also observing Catechists Week, beginning this Sunday 4th October . Let us thank God for our Catechists as the hand on the faith.
Finally, Sunday 4th October is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. It also marks the end of the Season of Creation. Please remember we are stewards of creation and keep nurturing those potted plants and gardens.
